I spent two weeks in NYC in late May 2014 and had the time to get out and shoot around town. Not living there anymore made me stop and appreciate simple things that I would have otherwise looked over in the past. Tried and true adage that you don't appreciate anything until it's gone, that you take things for granted when they're in front of you everyday. If there is a lesson I can take away is that where ever I may be when shooting, or in life, I should remember to ask myself "If I never got to see this again, what would I find interesting, what would I miss?".
